Groundbreaking of three expressways connecting Long Thanh Airport, seaports, and logistics hubs in the Southern Key Economic Region

On August 19, along with the whole country, Dong Nai province and project investors held groundbreaking ceremonies for three key expressway projects connecting the Central Highlands and South Central regions with Long Thanh International Airport, seaports, and logistics hubs in the Southern Key Economic Region.

The projects include: (1) Dau Giay – Tan Phu Expressway (Phase 1), part of the Dau Giay – Lien Khuong Expressway, with a total investment of VND 8,496 billion under the PPP – BOT model; (2) Gia Nghia (Lam Dong) – Chon Thanh (Dong Nai) Expressway, part of the Western North-South Expressway, with a total length of 124.13 km and investment of nearly VND 20,000 billion under the PPP model by the Vingroup – Techtra consortium; (3) Expansion of the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh Expressway (21 km, over VND 14,945 billion), implemented by VEC as an urgent project to ease congestion and strengthen connections to Long Thanh Airport and seaports.

On the same day, the province also started the Ma Da Bridge project (583 m, VND 133 billion), and the 2C Lecture Hall project at Ho Chi Minh City Open University – Campus 2 (5 floors, 12,600 m²).
